I feel bad when I see organizations that work in a visual environment and never share their story. Stories don't have to be complicated to be interesting. Social media can be like a relationship where you have to gain trust before people will like, engage and even defend you from trolls.
Working with the PR staff of two Tennessee Governors taught me this concept. Reporters often have written the story in their mind before they come to the door. It's your job to feed your message to the public often without their help.
